Hello everyone,
I realized that this blog exists! But nobody is posting anything here anymore.
Anyway, our batch is going to take over the Batch of '09 in a few weeks time so let's lead the Band as a batch together well. I hope that everybody is excited that we finally get the chance to leave our legacy (and to be at the top and being most senior of the band haha). Of course if we really want to "leave our legacy", then we will have to start working hard from the start. Let's not be like what we do in projects, leaving things to the last minute. We want to do well for SiBF and Prometheum, we want to lead the band to greater heights, we want to leave our legacy, and we will DWIT*. [rule of three xD]
*DWIT = Do Whatever It Takes :)

Hi all!
Dowan this to be such a dead blog (after all the effort that Irvin carefully put in to make batch the blogskin!) so I shall post :)
The past is gone. Everything that had happened, happened. And that's not going to change, even if we regret it and want to go back in time to work so much harder. Nothing's going to change, as much as we hope for the judges to realize that they got the wrong school and the Gold should have been ours.
So we don't have a Gold to flaunt about. Does it matter? Instead of focusing on what we don't have, let's focus on what we have. We have one another, to seek advice when we're down, to have a nice long chat when we're lonely, to play with each other when we are deprived of fun. If we have a Silver but we are content and happy, does it really differ it from a Gold with Honours? If we celebrate as though we are the best band in the world (and i'm not saying that we aren't), does it make any difference between the in name "best band in the world" celebrating?
Band is about the bonding, the memories we share and treasure (such as Japan trip). And this is the continuation of beautiful friendships and close bonding. SYF is over. Band isn't.

For batch ensemble
let's just play jazz. classical pieces not advised cos we seem to be the batch smallest in numbers. let's all go through this together, if not someone might just repeat what he said on the second day of the band camp :P
Cheers to RIMB'10!

Hello everybody. Welcome to the great RIMB10 BLOG!
I'm sure all of us realize that we got Silver for our SYF. And most of us are upset because the RIMB09 has already got one gold, and RIMB11 has another chance 2 years time. For us, we got a Silver on our only SYF. It's quite sad, to know that everything is too late and all...
And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the RIMB dream.
I have a dream that one day this band will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that a band is not just for SYF."
I have a dream that my batch will one day live in a band where they will not be judged by the color of their SYF medal but by the journey that they have gone through together.
I have a dream today!
So I hope that we all realize that our whole band life is not all about SYF. "It's not the achievement, but the journey that really counts." Let's remember all the fun times we had, going on Japan trip and scaring ourselves horribly when going down the roller coasters of Universal Studio, or playing bridge every night and laughing so hard until we could cry (esp when we saw the funny sight of Philemon in his turquoise pajamas playing with giant cards), or maybe even remember how we got through tough times together when Mr. Oura tried to suan us with a few phrases such as "The judges don't really care if you are Sec1, Sec4, Sec2, Sec5, Sec2, you realize I don't say Sec3"
We go through thick and thin together, and maybe this period is a difficult time for all of us. But let us all find comfort in our batchmates that really care for us and love us, and may this time of adversity even draw us closer together as a batch.
Let us all decide in our hearts that we are going to prove ourselves. We are going to be the batch that leaves the greatest legacy, to rise the band to greater heights. We are the RIMB Batch of '10.
